Chelsea could make a fresh move for unsettled Monaco striker Radamel Falcao, according to reports from The Metro.
The Colombian hit-man was the Blues’ top target heading into the summer transfer window, but their hopes of landing his signature looked to be gone once he secured a £50m move to Monaco just a matter of months ago.
But, a sensational switch to Stamford Bridge could still be on, with reports now claiming that Falcao is already considering his future.
The Ligue 1 side are currently embroiled in a bitter tax dispute with the French footballing authorities, which could result in a hefty fine.
As well as this, the 27-year-old’s also believed to be frustrated by Monaco’s transfer activity.
Despite the principality-based outfit having spent big to lure the likes of Joao Moutinho and James Rodriguez to the Stade Louis II, Falcao is believed to be unconvinced that his new side can challenge Paris Saint-Germain for the league title.
This news could spark Chelsea back into action, with Jose Mourinho desperate to draft in a new striker to lead his attacking line.
The Londoners have the financial clout to offer the South American a lucrative salary and match the figure Monaco paid to secure his services from Atletico Madrid.
